GECF: Algiers Declaration, major step to address current and future challenges
ALGIERS-The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune affirmed Saturday at the closing ceremony of the 7th Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), which he chaired, that the Algiers Statement was a major step towards meeting the current and future challenges.
The Algiers, which has just been adopted, “is a major step towards meeting current and future challenges,” said the President of the Republic in a speech he delivered at the closing ceremony of the Summit works, stressing that the Algiers Declaration “reflects our determination to extend the use of as with the competence and sustainability required in a world marked by accelerated changes.”
“We recommit to consolidating the standing of our Forum as a venue for dialogue and regional and international cooperation, which today attracts new members while underlining the sovereign rights of member countries over their gas resources and our key role in supporting sustainable development and global energy security in line with the goals of the United Nations (UN),” stated the President of the Republic.
