commemoration of the sixty-second (62nd) anniversary of Independence and Youth Day

In commemoration of the sixty-second (62nd) anniversary of Independence and Youth Day, celebrated, this year, under the slogan: «A glorious holiday and an era of renewal», the Embassy of Algeria in Accra organized a special celebration in honor of the national community established in Ghana and Togo, in presence of formerGhanaian students graduated in Algerian universities, and also Mr. Sina Oklo (from Ghana), a friend of the Algerian revolution.

After raising the national flag and reciting the Fatiha of the Holy Quran in memory of the Martyrs, several activities were organized recalling the history of Algeria’s people struggle for their liberation.

In his speech on this occasion, the Ambassador of Algeria in Accra, Mr. Mourad Louhaidia, recalled the great sacrifices consented by the Algerian people, harked back to Algeria’s role in supporting liberation movements and just causes in Africa and around the world, highlighting the great achievements realized since the independence of Algeria and the renaissance witnessed at all levels.
